Matthew Lock, affectionately known as Matty, was a multifaceted individual who made significant contributions as an influencer, presenter, and community advocate. His legacy continues to inspire many, particularly through the Matthew Lock ADHD Charity, which his family established in his memory.

Influencer and Presenter

Matty first gained public attention at the age of 15 when he appeared on ITV's This Morning to share his passion for vacuum cleaners—a hobby he began at just two years old. His enthusiasm and expertise led to multiple appearances on the show, where he reviewed various vacuum models and demonstrated his deep knowledge of the subject. Matty's segments were well-received, and he was remembered as a "delightful young man" with an "infectious" passion for mechanics .

Community Advocate and Politician

Beyond his media presence, Matty was deeply involved in his local community in Maghull, Merseyside. He served as a Labour town councillor and parish councillor, working on initiatives such as local clean-up campaigns and infrastructure improvements. His commitment to public service earned him the admiration of his peers and constituents .
