With a strong professional background in Business Management and Manufacturing Management, Richard brings decades of strategic and operational expertise to the charity. His experience strengthens the organisation’s ability to grow sustainably, collaborate effectively, and push for vital change across the UK’s ADHD landscape. Above all, his work is fueled by love, purpose, and a commitment to ensuring Matthew’s story drives meaningful reform and protects other families from similar loss.
Ros Mason: Secretary & Trustee
Ros Mason serves as Secretary of the Matthew Lock ADHD Charity, bringing both professional insight and a deep personal connection to Matthew through years of local community and political work. Her longstanding involvement in the community meant she witnessed firsthand Matthew’s enthusiasm, kindness, and commitment to helping others — a connection that makes her role in the charity especially meaningful.

In an extraordinary and serendipitous twist of fate, Ros is married to Dr Peter Mason, and together they run the Liverpool ADHD Clinic, giving Ros a unique perspective on ADHD support, early intervention, and the lived experiences of families navigating the condition. Her understanding of clinical pathways and community needs enriches the charity’s governance and mission.

Within the charity, Ros plays a vital role in ensuring strong coordination, accurate record‑keeping, and clear communication across trustee activities — responsibilities reflected in her contributions to formal trustee meetings.

Diane Ellis: Treasurer & Trustee
Diane Ellis serves as Treasurer of the Matthew Lock ADHD Charity, bringing both her financial expertise and her long‑standing friendship with the Richard, Christine and Matthew and their family to the heart of the organisation. A Director at Barclays Bank, Diane offers deep professional insight into financial governance, risk management, and operational integrity — experience that strengthens the charity’s oversight and long‑term sustainability.

As a close family friend, Diane has stood alongside Richard, Christine, and Matthew for many years, and her commitment to the charity is grounded in both loyalty and a shared desire to honour Matthew’s legacy. Her role ensures that the charity’s financial operations are responsible, transparent, and aligned with its mission.
Diane’s involvement also reflects her compassionate nature and steadfast support for the charity’s work. She plays a key part in decision‑making, resource planning, and ensuring funding is effectively directed toward life‑changing screening, support, and awareness initiatives.
Laura Olson: Legal & Trustee
A close family friend of the Locks, Laura Olson serves as a trustee of the Matthew Lock ADHD Charity, contributing steady governance and practical business guidance to help the charity scale its programmes responsibly. Her active participation in trustee work supports the charity’s operational discipline and community impact.

Laura brings two decades of leadership from Kammac, where she has served as an Executive Director and helped guide the company’s growth across logistics, warehousing, and fulfilment. She also sits on the board of Kammac Holdings Ltd, expanding her perspective on strategy and stewardship across the wider group.
Alongside her logistics career, Laura is a qualified solicitor, experience that sharpens the charity’s approach to risk, contracts, and governance.

Craig Olson: Trustee
Craig brings a wealth of executive leadership, governance, and strategic planning experience to his role as a Trustee of the Matthew Lock ADHD Charity.
Drawing from his extensive background as a company Director at the Kammac Group—a leading UK logistics and supply chain business—Craig has a proven track record of managing complex operations, driving organizational and business growth, supporting large teams and implementing change.
He is passionate about leveraging his corporate acumen and problem-solving skills to support the charity's vital mission. Craig is deeply committed to helping the Charity advance ADHD advocacy, promote early diagnosis, and raise crucial awareness about the mental health and suicide risks associated with neurodiversity, ensuring that young people and their families get the life-saving support they need.
Chris Lock: Founder & Chief Operating Officer
As Matthew’s mum and Richard’s wife, Christine has a deeply personal commitment to the Matthew Lock ADHD Charity. Her role is grounded in love, courage, and a determination to create meaningful change in Matthew’s memory.
Christine’s professional background spans Financial Services and, later when Matthew started school, she trained as a Teaching Assistant, achieving a Level 3 Qualification. This experience helps underpin her work within the charity, where she leads with empathy, understanding and an unwavering drive to support & educate families navigating ADHD.
As Chief Operating Officer (COO) Christine oversees and delivers the charity’s digital screening sessions, administering early‑stage assessments which can offer validation & help inform next steps. This has become a cornerstone of the charity’s first‑year impact.
Christine also runs the charity’s local ‘Share and Care’ peer support groups offering parents and individuals a safe, supportive environment to talk openly, learn, and feel heard — a role reflecting her professional training and her heartfelt mission.
Christine’s work & tenacity is propelled by the unimaginable loss of her only son and her devotion to Matthew and commitment to his legacy to drive positive change by advocating for early identification of ADHD & intervention to prevent poor mental health outcomes for children & families, so that individuals with ADHD can thrive & live a full life.
Carole Lennon: Operations Support & Trustee
A close neighbour and long‑time friend of the Lock family, Carole Lennon has been a steadfast source of support to Richard and Christine throughout an unimaginably difficult time. Drawing on 45 years in the NHS as a radiographer, Carole brings clinical insight, calm professionalism and a caring presence to the charity’s frontline work.
Working closely with Christine, Carole helps deliver and administer our screening sessions, empowering families & individuals to progress next steps and feel validated.
Carole also supports day‑to‑day operations and coordination across trustee activity, ensuring the charity stays organised, responsive, and family‑centred.
Guided by compassion and community spirit, Carole channels a lifetime of clinical experience into practical help for families navigating ADHD—honouring Matthew’s legacy through quiet dedication and measurable impact.
Dr Peter Mason: Clinical Specialist
Dr Peter Mason serves as the Clinical Specialist for the Matthew Lock ADHD Charity, providing expert guidance on assessment, clinical pathways, and best‑practice standards. A valued member of the trustee group, Peter brings previous charity trustee experience and a strong focus on ensuring compliance, governance, and evidence‑based decision‑making.
Peter’s role within the charity is complemented by his professional work running the Liverpool Adult ADHD Clinic, which he operates together with his wife, Ros Mason. This dual perspective — combining clinical expertise with an ADHD focus.
Within the charity, Peter plays an important role in shaping screening, referral, and testing protocols, supporting the rollout of new tools such as early‑stage objective testing methods introduced during the charity’s first year. His clinical insight contributes to the development of safe, effective, and responsible approaches to identifying ADHD in both children and adults.
Peter’s support has given Richard and Christine a clear understanding of Matthew’s story and has added a deeply personal dimension to his professional contribution. His commitment ensures that every aspect of the charity’s clinical work is delivered with compassion, accuracy, and the mission to prevent other families from experiencing similar loss.
Dave Duffy: Trustee
Dave brings a strong foundation of community advocacy, relationship building, and business strategy to his role as a Trustee for the Matthew Lock ADHD Charity.

As a Corporate Accounts Manager at Woodbank Office Solutions and an active leader and Director Consultant within the BNI (Business Network International) community, Dave is an expert at forging meaningful connections and driving community-led growth. He also brings valuable prior governance and philanthropic experience to the board, having previously served as a charity Trustee for the Community Link Foundation.
